Good point freecia, and thanks for commenting. Yes its entirely possible to not profit as much as you expect from these new gadgets like iphone and future products, but you won't lose much money. Like you mentioned, it can be returned. So as long as you purchase these items and put them on ebay immediately, either with a buy it now, reserve price or best offer 3-7 day auction, you should be fine. The worst case is it doesn't sell, and you pay the ebay listing fees with is like $2-$5. It's worth the shot in my opinion.

I'd like to point out that it is possible to lose money selling iPhones on eBay since the iPhone is still available for regular retail price from Apple. Do a completed listings search to see if your item will sell for the price you're hoping for, otherwise, return it. Otherwise, thinking about offering an activated iPhone with no monthly plan. Someone may want it with a little "extra".

Hey thanks for commenting. The PS3 was hot when it first came out and had the usual long lines, sell-out and eventually the $700+ prices on ebay, but the Wii is STILL sold out to this very day. I'm guessing its because the Wii is much less expensive, plus it caters to a larger audience. The PS3's are all over the place now, in stock, but if you had one when they came out you would have made some great money. If you see a Wii at a retail store, buy it immediately no matter what. You'll make money.

I have heard getting Playstation 3 was much more difficult than buying Nintendo Wii, or Apple iPhone. Is that true? :>
