Lately I’ve been thinking about where this site is headed. It’s been about a month now and I’m getting the hand of writing. However, I realized that when I first established the site, I just wrote about all aspects of personal finance, money, and investing. There was no real structure or set course. That is why during these past few days I’ve been laying down some new foundation with posts such as wealth building with compounding interest and the Money Socket fundamentals of wealth building.

Money Socket’s main purpose is to remind everyone that wealth building, getting rich, or achieving financial freedom is not as complex and confusing as some would think. At the basic level, it is simply the three step process that I laid out in the Money Socket fundamentals of wealth building post. These fundamentals are the foundation of this website. All future articles will relate in some way to those three very basic steps of wealth building.

How Money Socket articles fit into the three fundamental steps to wealth.

Make Money:
The future articles on this site will provide insight to help you increase your cashflow and your streams of  income. You will see articles relating to starting, maintaining and expanding offline and online businesses as well as other ways to maximize your money making potential.

Save Money:
As you know, making money is just the first step. We must also save money as well. You will see many articles relating to saving money, such as my post about buying a used car to save tons of cash. You’ll see many more articles about frugal living, the pitfalls of consumerism, and other money saving ideas.

Invest Money:
Lastly, you all know that the big increase in your net worth happens with diligent and patient investing. You will see many articles here regarding real estate investment. I notice many of my fellow bloggers don’t write much about real estate and I’m not sure why. I’m an avid real estate investor and I plan to expand my holdings many times over in the future. Of course I will also talk about stocks, bonds, mutual funds and so forth as well as outside of the box investing ideas such as my post on the best investments are all around you.

My Journey to Wealth:
I’ll update you about my own journey and share with you some of my personal success stories and the many, many pitfalls and setbacks. My stories fit right into the three fundamental steps of wealth building. Of course, from time to time I’ll write about something funny or inspirational, or off topic. Its healthy to take some time and not think and talk money.

So there you have it. The new course for this blog has been set. Now when you read the articles on this site you’ll know they fit right into the three basic fundamentals of wealth building. Remember that wealth building or getting rich is not difficult in theory. It is simple and it is nothing new. Remember the big picture and apply the fundamentals to everything you do. You’ll reach your goals.
